Entrepreneur: Cannabis consultant launches new Phoenix firm to assist industry operators

Sara Gullickson has been in the cannabis industry longer than Arizona has had a medical marijuana program.

She got into the industry about a dozen years ago — two years before voters passed the Arizona Medical Marijuana Act of 2010.

“I’m an out-of-the-box thinker and I was young enough in my career that I didn’t understand how a traditional business works,” Gullickson said. “I didn’t have the framework built in my mind to say this makes absolutely no sense from any business standpoint. I just went with it.”
