Need help opening a Dispensary in Missouri ?

The state of Missouri legalized medical cannabis in 2018, through a Ballot measure, Amendment 2, which provided a legal way for qualifying patients in the state to access and utilize medical cannabis as a form of treatment for their ailment. Access to medical cannabis is through state licensed businesses that are allowed to grow, manufacture and sell medical cannabis.

Missouri issued five (5) types of licenses for Dispensing, Manufacturing, Cultivating, Laboratory Testing, and Transporting cannabis. By mid-late January, Missouri’s Department of Health & Services awarded one-hundred and ninety-two (192) Dispensary Licenses, of which seventy-three (73) are approved to operate as of today. Eighty-four (84) manufacturing licenses were then awarded to top scoring applicants and currently only nine (9) manufacturing facilities are approved to operate. In late December, the department awarded sixty (60) cultivation licenses and has approved seventeen (17) cultivation facilities to operate. Transportation and Laboratory testing Licenses were also awarded in December, there are only nine (9) laboratory testing facilities licensed by the state and four (4) approved to operate. There was a total of twenty-two (22) Transporters licensed and as of today eleven (11) are approved to operate.

Roughly 35% of licensed dispensaries in Missouri are currently open and operating, 12% of Manufacturers are up and operational and all 17 cultivation facilities approved to operate are open.
