Starting November 2020, Arizona Dispensaries Will Be Required to Test All Medical Marijuana
The Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) started initial steps to implement regulations to require medical marijuana in Arizona to be tested. The Medical Marijuana Testing Advisory Council was created and is currently discussing how to regulate the tested for Marijuana products to be sold at dispensaries. Governor Ducey signed Senate Bill 1494 into law in June 2019, which will go into effect starting November 2020.
The ADHS plans to license third-party testing labs to help perform the tests on Medical marijuana in Arizona. The testing protocol includes potency, pesticides, residual solvents, heavy metals, and microbes.
Arizona Dispensaries will be required to test all medical marijuana.
