The state of New Hampshire legalized medical cannabis in 2013, through a Legislative bill, House Bill 573, which provided a legal way for qualifying patients in the state to access and utilize medical cannabis as a form of treatment for their ailment. Access to medical cannabis is through state licensed businesses that are allowed to grow, manufacture and sell medical cannabis.
2013 – New Hampshire legalized medical cannabis
2015 – New Hampshire awarded medical cannabis ATC licenses
2016 – First New Hampshire medical cannabis businesses opened and medical cannabis sales began
TYPES OF BUSINESS
New Hampshire Medical Cannabis Alternative Treatment Center (ATC) – a vertically integrated license that allows a licensee to grow medical cannabis plants; extract, process and produce medical cannabis products; and dispense medical cannabis to registered patients. There is a limit of eight (8) business licenses allowed for New Hampshire ATCs within the state.
